Welcome to Prism Language Studio (PLS)! These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our services, including online and in-person language classes, test preparation sessions, events, and website interactions. By booking services or attending events, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
For information on how we handle your personal data, please refer to our Privacy Policy, which is an integral part of these Terms and Conditions.

1.1. Prism Language Studio (PLS) provides language courses, test preparation services, and personalized learning experiences for students of all levels, both online and in-person.
1.2. PLS reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on our website, and your continued use of our services signifies acceptance of any changes. -
2.1. Types of Services:
Personalized language courses (e.g., English, French).
Exam preparation (e.g., TOEFL, IELTS, DELF).
Workshops, immersive learning sessions, and optional community events (e.g., Language Cafés).
2.2. Delivery Modes:
Classes are conducted online via platforms such as Google Meet or Skype, and in-person at designated locations in France.
Bimodal events (combining online and in-person attendance) may be offered for some activities.
2.3. Services are non-transferable and intended solely for the registered participant.

3.1 Purpose of Donations:
Contributions made via our Tipeee page are voluntary donations intended to support Prism Language Studio’s mission, including creating resources, funding workshops, providing scholarships, and supporting underserved communities.For details on how your personal information is handled for Tipeee donations, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
3.2 Use of Donations:
Funds collected through Tipeee will be allocated toward community outreach programs, operational costs, and other initiatives in line with Prism Language Studio’s mission. Specific projects or initiatives may vary, but we remain committed to ensuring all donations are used ethically and transparently.3.3 No Refund Policy:
All contributions made via Tipeee are non-refundable, as they are considered voluntary donations and are immediately allocated toward ongoing projects.3.4 Disclaimer:
Prism Language Studio does not offer tax-deductible receipts for donations made via Tipeee. Contributions are not considered charitable donations under applicable tax laws.3.5 Donor Responsibilities:
By donating via Tipeee, you confirm that the funds belong to you, and you understand the purpose of the donation.3.6 Rewards and Acknowledgments:
Any rewards or acknowledgments offered to donors are provided as a gesture of gratitude and do not constitute a financial or contractual obligation. Donors who wish to remain anonymous can indicate this preference during the donation process, and we will honor it to the best of our ability within the limits of the Tipeee platform. -
4.1. Booking Policy:
Bookings must be made via the official booking platform (Book Like A Boss).
A free introductory session is available before starting regular classes.
4.2. Payment Policy:
Payments must be made in advance via Stripe or PayPal.
Pricing is displayed on the booking page and is subject to change without notice.
Classes may be purchased individually or in bundles. A minimum of 6 hours must be booked for exam preparation packages.
4.3. Currency: Payments are processed in Euros (€).
4.4. Refund Policy:
Refunds for unused classes are granted if cancellation is requested at least 48 hours in advance.
Refunds for exam preparation packages are not available once sessions have commenced.
PLS reserves the right to deduct administrative fees from refunds where applicable.
4.5. Late Payments:
Late payments may result in service suspension until payment is received.
In accordance with Article L441-10 of the French Commercial Code, late payments may incur penalties and a collection fee of €40.3.1.

5.1. Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the session to qualify for rescheduling.
Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice are considered missed sessions and are non-refundable.
5.2. Rescheduling:
Sessions may be rescheduled with at least 48 hours' notice by contacting contact@prismlanguagestudio.com.
5.3. Missed Sessions:
Missed sessions without prior notice will not be refunded or rescheduled.
5.4. Rescheduling Without Penalty:
Clients who wish to reschedule a session more than 48 hours in advance may do so without penalty by contacting contact@prismlanguagestudio.com.
PLS will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the client’s preferred new date and time, subject to availability.

6.1. Registration:
By registering for an event (e.g., Language Cafés, excursions), you agree to provide accurate details for participation.
6.2. Privacy:
Event-related data (e.g., attendee lists) will be used only for event management purposes and shared only as necessary for engagement.
Personal disclosures during events are voluntary.
6.3. Recordings:
If events are recorded, participants will be notified in advance, and consent will be sought.
6.4. International and Online Events:
Online and bimodal events may include participants from multiple countries. By participating, you agree to comply with event-specific guidelines regardless of your location.
For international participants, data will be handled per the terms outlined in our Privacy Policy.

7.1. Clients agree not to record, reproduce, or distribute any class, session, or workshop conducted by Prism Language Studio without prior written consent.
7.2. This includes but is not limited to video recordings, audio recordings, and screenshots of class content, materials, or discussions.
6.3. Breaching this policy will result in immediate termination of services without refund, and Prism Language Studio reserves the right to pursue legal action for unauthorized use of recorded materials. -
8.1. Respectful Behavior:
Clients are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and professional manner during all interactions with instructors, staff, and fellow students. This includes:
Using polite and courteous language in all verbal and written communications.
Respecting the personal boundaries, time, and opinions of others.
Actively participating in classes while allowing others to share their perspectives without interruption.
8.2. Definition of Disruptive or Inappropriate Behavior:
Disruptive or inappropriate behavior includes, but is not limited to:
Verbal Misconduct: Use of offensive, discriminatory, or derogatory language, including but not limited to language that is sexist, racist, homophobic, or otherwise discriminatory.
Non-Verbal Misconduct: Behavior that causes discomfort or intimidation, such as excessive interruptions, dominating discussions, or making inappropriate gestures.
Harassment or Bullying: Any actions, verbal or non-verbal, that target or demean instructors, staff, or other students, including persistent criticism, intimidation, or personal attacks.
Technical Disruptions: Intentionally disrupting virtual classes through excessive background noise, unnecessary interruptions, or failure to mute when requested during online sessions.
Unprofessional Attire or Backgrounds: Attending video sessions in inappropriate attire or with inappropriate virtual/physical backgrounds that are distracting or offensive.
Unauthorized Recording: Recording classes or taking screenshots without prior written consent (see Recording Policy).
Disregard for Agreed Terms: Ignoring agreed-upon goals, repeatedly missing sessions without notice, or failing to adhere to safety protocols.
8.3. Flexible Learning Policy:
PLS encourages independent exploration and open-world learning. While homework and assignments are suggested to enhance progress, learners are not penalized for incomplete assignments as long as they actively participate in sessions.
Instructors reserve the right to provide tailored recommendations to improve learning outcomes without enforcing rigid compliance.
8.4. Consequences of Violating the Code of Conduct:
Any behavior deemed disruptive or inappropriate, as defined above, may result in:
A verbal or written warning.
Temporary suspension of services.
Immediate termination of services without a refund.
Prism Language Studio reserves the right to determine the severity of the violation and take appropriate action, including pursuing legal remedies if necessary.

9.1. All course materials, including but not limited to handouts, slides, and exercises, are the intellectual property of Prism Language Studio.
9.2. Clients are prohibited from copying, distributing, or reproducing any materials without prior written consent.
9.3. Clients are strictly prohibited from recording audio, video, or screenshots of any class, session, or workshop conducted by Prism Language Studio without prior written consent from the instructor or Prism Language Studio.
9.4. Unauthorized recordings will be considered a breach of these Terms and Conditions and may result in immediate termination of services without a refund, as well as potential legal action. -
10.1. Your personal data is processed in compliance with the GDPR and applicable laws.
10.2. For detailed information on how your data is collected, used, and stored, please refer to our Privacy Policy, available here.
10.3. By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy. -
11.1. PLS is not liable for:
Disruptions caused by third-party platforms or internet issues.
Losses resulting from participant actions or failure to follow guidelines.
11.2. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the service in question.

12.1. PLS will not be held liable for delays or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to:
Natural disasters.
Technical failures or internet outages.
Strikes, wars, or pandemics.
12.2. In such cases, clients will be offered rescheduling options or refunds for unfulfilled services.

13.1. Amicable Settlement:
By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you commit to resolving any disputes, disagreements, or claims with Prism Language Studio (PLS) amicably and in good faith. Both parties agree to engage in constructive communication to address concerns and seek resolution within 30 days of the issue being raised.13.2. Binding Arbitration:
If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, both parties agree to submit the matter to binding arbitration under the rules of the CMAP (Centre de Médiation et d’Arbitrage de Paris) or the ICC (International Chamber of Commerce). The arbitration will take place in France, and the language of proceedings will be French or English, depending on mutual agreement.13.3. No Class Actions:
Clients waive the right to participate in any class-action lawsuits or similar proceedings against PLS.13.4. Limitation of Legal Action:
No legal action may be initiated without first attempting to resolve the matter through amicable settlement or arbitration, as outlined in this section. -
14.1. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of France.
14.2. Any disputes arising from the use of our services will be resolved in the courts of France.
